Iran President calls on Islamic nations to stand against oppression

President Masoud Pezeshkian urged Islamic countries not to remain silent in the face of oppression against Muslims and other nations, emphasizing that defending people's rights is one of the core teachings of Islam.

AhlulBayt News Agency: Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian urged Islamic countries not to remain silent in the face of oppression against Muslims and other nations, emphasizing that defending people's rights is one of the core teachings of Islam.

Speaking at the international conference on diplomacy of resistance and honoring Martyrs of Service on Sunday, the president highlighted the importance of a faith-based approach in all personal and social matters. He stated that silence in the face of crimes committed by the Zionist regime against the oppressed people of Gaza raises questions about one's faith and humanity.

Pezeshkian remarked that those who claim to support human rights commit the most heinous acts, asserting that there is no greater crime than professing to uphold human rights while recklessly killing women and children under the guise of self-defense.

Additionally, he pointed out that those who accuse the officials of the Islamic Republic of being worldliness, in fact, are the ones who are worldliness themselves. He noted that senior Iranian officials have chosen a simple lifestyle, which is the foundation of resistance diplomacy, the defense of the oppressed, and standing against oppressors.

Pezeshkian praised the modesty of high-ranking officials within the Islamic system, viewing this lifestyle as a testament to their honesty and loyalty to the ideals of the revolution. He challenged critics to observe the simplicity of Iranian officials' lives firsthand.

He also honored his predecessor, the late President Ebrahim Raisi, describing him as a dedicated official who served the people with principles of fairness and justice. Pezeshkian asserted that the names of this martyr and his companions, who lost their lives in service, must be commemorated.
